|2014 Corvette Interior|
On their website they say that, “Performance driving is experienced from the interior. Perfection is critical. Every line, every stitch and every accent must honor craftsmanship — and serve the driver.” That design begins with using the right material including real aluminum, carbon fiber and hand-stitched, Grade A leather.
A big focus was put on the seats since this is the main point of contact that the driver has with the car. Two seating choices will be offered: a GT seat for all-around comfort and a Competition Sport seat with more aggressive side bolstering which provides greater support on the track. The frame structure for both seats is made of magnesium for greater strength and less weight than comparable steel frames. They’re also more rigid, contributing to the enhanced feeling of support during performance driving.
From what we are being told from Chevrolet, the Competition Seat will not be available till later in the 2014 model year. There will be 5 different color interiors available this year: Adrenaline Red, Gray, Jet Black, Kalahari and Brownstone. All 5 are pictured below.
Not all colors are available in all package levels. We are told that the breakdown of available interiors will look like this:
1LT – Adrenaline Red, Gray and Jet Black
2LT – Adrenaline Red, Gray, Jet Black and Kalahari
3LT – Adrenaline Red, Gray, Jet Black, Kalahairi and Brownstone
This is a big change for people looking for a more basic equipment package. For the C6 Corvette Generation (2005 – 2013) the 1LT was only available with an Ebony (black) interior. Below are pictures of each interior. As actual 2014 Corvettes with real interiors become available, we will post the picture for you.
Like the last few years of the C6 Generation, the 1LT package will include 8-Way Power and Passenger Seats but, where the Heated Seats were only available in the 3LT and 4LT packages, the 2014 Corvette will have heated AND vented seats on 2LT and 3LT packages.
